Product - Eco Kit Grow House
The concept of the Grow House is to create a semi-permanent house that may be simply expanded in a modular format as demand dictates. The basic single module comprises a bedroom with bathroom facilities, and a lounge/dining room with kitchen facilities. This allows for a cheap form of accommodation that provides everything to live comfortably and can be available to be used by the purchaser within a short time frame. Additional bedrooms and facility rooms can be added as required.

The main purpose of this system is to build modular, low-cost housing giving people the ability to purchase the standard modular and then upgrade by bolting on new rooms and additional living areas as money or the need is required. Other areas of use are in remote sites, where labour costs are high. The kit system can be bolted together by non-skilled labour, is easy to transport and provides a variety of standard components.
- The ‘Grow House’ is a construction system for building single or multiple dwellings based on a common grid. The external posts support the main floor beams and roof rafters giving the ability to bolt on additional pyramids and beams. The grid system is based on multiples of 1200, which is followed through from the floor and walls in a unique panel system.
- The posts and beams use a common bracket giving the ability for it to be interchangeable and allowing it to bolt-on in all areas. The posts may vary in length depending on the terrain and are set out in a unique square or rectangular pattern.
- The core part of the building in which the main living and kitchen area is incorporated forms the main area for the Grow System to be expanded from.
- The object of this present system is to provide a building structure, which is able to take advantage of the various positive aspects of modular techniques and reduces onsite labour and factory assembly. The system also incorporates a number of interchangeable components.
