Eco Structures Australia has been founded on a long history of remote area accommodation experiences, hospitality excellence and an earnest desire to provide accommodation solutions with low environmental impact and high social development.

An experienced partnership
Australian Eco Constructions is a Broome-based construction company specialising in sustainable living designs. The company has won a range of building awards and was the owner and developer of the Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat.
It was through the Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat that Hawaiian and Eco Constructions first formed their successful partnership.
In early 2000 category 5 cyclone “Rosita” devastated Eco Beach, leaving in its wake a damage bill of $5.5 million. However, from this destruction an opportunity emerged – to design a new concept in eco resorts, taking the accommodation to a new level of comfort, incorporating structures which could be better managed for weather extremes and provide a superior health and Eco Tourism experiences for guests.
The result was the Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat as we know it today; a “village” of lightweight, demountable structures, ranging from tents to cabins to villas, all of which are designed to withstand cyclonic conditions or be disassembled in the event of extreme weather conditions.

Karl Plunkett
Karl Plunkett is a builder developer who established Eco Constructions Pty Ltd in 1996. Karl is the owner of Eco Beach in Broome, where he first commenced working on the prototypes that have become Eco Structures Australia's core products. Karl's construction work focuses on environmentally sustainable development.
Aaron Bell -
Operations Manager
Aaron Bell has lived and worked in Western Australia’s Kimberley region for most of his life. He has a sound knowledge of the logistical, environmental and cultural questions that need to be investigated to build your single dwelling or major Eco Development.
Warwick Prestwood
Warwick Prestwood has worked in the international market for over 8 years representing a large number of clients involved in international sales, contract negotiation and manufacturing under license agreements. These countries include Asia, Europe, the UK, Canada, USA, Indonesia and Japan.
